At Duchy Coaching the fundamental aim is to create training plans that are based on the modern training methods being used in the pro peloton . The business has been operating in a limited capacity for almost two months, however, Executive Coaches Chris Opie and Steve Lampier are now accepting applications from riders of all abilities.
On setting up the business, Will tells us that ‘it has been a tiring but rewarding process getting to this point…both Chris, Steve and I wanted to make sure we had all bases covered before launching to the public, hence why it has taken the best part of a year’.
When asked what values are important to Duchy Coaching, Will says it is a ‘personal touch’ and a focus on ensuring ‘time-pressed athletes are training in the most effective way possible’. ‘We are really looking forward to meeting new people and finding out what makes them tick!’
In much the same way, Chris explains that at Duchy Coaching the ‘focus is on quality, not quantity’. The business will only take on a limited number of athletes, so we can offer everyone a ‘dedicated and meticulous service’.
An official launch, including a steady ride and a café stop, will take place within the next few weeks, where all those interested will have a chance to ride and discuss coaching with Chris, Steve and Will, should they so wish. Stay tuned for dates!
